March On - Selma Movie Outing

Join us to see Selma, a movie chronicling Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s plight in securing equal voting rights during the Civil Rights Movement. As you watch the events of the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965, consider the parallels between Selma and today’s recent racial climate. As women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., we take every opportunity to support events that highlight the contributions of civil rights leaders and the impact they have had on our community. Therefore, by donating to the Educational Advancement Foundation, you enable the Chi Alpha Omega Chapter to continue to cultivate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and others like him and to provide educational support and empowerment to our youth.

Attendees are encouraged to make a $5 or $10 donation to support programs that continue the legacy of social action, education, and advocacy advanced by activists in Selma. Please click here to donate to the Chi Alpha Omega Endowment Fund.
