4th Annual Career Exploration Fair

It is that exciting time of year once again - the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Chi Alpha Omega Chapter (AKA-XAO) Career Exploration Day!

The Fourth Annual Career Exploration Day will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014, 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Second Baptist Church of Elgin, 1280 Summit, Elgin, IL 60120. There will be panel discussions with a variety of young professionals from Engineers to Entertainers. They will be available to answer your questions and share valuable information. In addition to food, there will be fun - Live Hip-Hop and Spoken Word performances! All students from grades six through twelve are invited to attend the FREE event! Career Exploration Day is one of the AKA-XAO ASCENDSM projects. ASCEND is an Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., signature program and is part of Target I: Educational Enrichment. ASCEND focuses on Achievement, Self-Awareness, Communication, Engagement, Networking, and Development Skills. Participants include high school male and female students with emphasis on academic, life, career and character-building skills. The ultimate goal is to motivate, engage and assist these students in reaching their maximum potential.
