Women are seizing the reins of entrepreneurship because they realize that it is the key to economic survival. As they become more of the business landscape and their enterprises grow, women are coming face to face with the challenges of managing and expanding new ventures. To build a strong foundation for women in business, Alpha Kappa Alpha will create economic expertise, success in business and power networking opportunities for the non-traditional entrepreneur.

Goal:  Create economic expertise, success in business and power networking opportunities for the non-traditional entrepreneur.

• The International program committee will work with chapters to develop the “The non traditional Entrepreneur Resource Guide”  This platform champion serves as the single point of contact for this resource guide
• International Program Committee will also create a newsletter publishing success stories which this team will feed information to.
• Introduce concept of monthly session which convene established and emerging entrepreneurs in different venues, activities and with different topics of interest each month. (Networking events, benchmarking, mentoring events, banking events, industry specific visits, think tanks, etc.)
